Often sushi shops, private residences and places of business will display a figurine of a strong looking samurai warrior wearing a kamishimo, (hempen wing-like vest and matching hakama pleated trousers), carrying a large, oversized sake cup in one hand and a spear in the other. This figure is known as the Kuroda Bushi、黒田武士 The Warrior of the Kuroda. It is also known as the Kuroda-bushi or the 黒田節, the Song of the Kuroda.
