Minamoto no Yorinobu(December 21, 968 – June 1, 1048) was a mid Heian Period (794 to 1185) military commander and statesman.

A member of the influential Minamoto clan, Minamoto no Yorinobu was born December 21, 986, the third son of the warrior and statesman Minamoto no Mitsunaka, the acting governor of ten provinces, Commander in Chief and Defender of the Northern Districts, and one of the most affluent and influential courtiers of the Heian period.
