On the 24th day of the 2nd month, 1549, Oda Nobunaga married Saito Dosan's daughter, a woman remembered simply as Nohime.

Nohime is is commonly believed to have been the daughter of Mino's Sengoku daimyo Saito Dosan and married the Daimyo of Owari's Oda Nobunaga through a political marriage and became Nobunaga's lawful wife. Despite her importance in history, very little is known about this woman. Here, for the sake of convenience, she is referred to as Nohime, but it appears she had a number of names.
