The Sengoku period was a dangerous time. You never knew who to trust. Friends and allies could suddenly turn, just as easily as neighboring daimyo could attack. It happened in 1575, that Okazaki Castle almost fell to the invading Takeda Katsuyori because of a traitor within Okazaki.
