Ashikaga Yoshimochi (March 12, 1386 – February 3, 1428) was the 4th Shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate, ruling from January 8, 1395 until April 28, 1423. Yoshimochi's tenure as shogun for 28 years was the longest amongst the 15 successive Muromachi shogun, and one of the most controversial too!
