Sanada Nobushige (1567 – June 3, 1615), also known popularly, (although incorrectly) as Sanada Yukimura was a Sengoku, Warring States period warrior known particularly for being the leading general defending Osaka Castle in the Winter and Summer Sieges of Osaka. Sanada Nobushige has been remembered as "A Hero who may appear once in a hundred years", and "The Last Sengoku Hero", and even as "Japan’s Number One Warrior", despite only really having seen action at the 1590 Seige of Oshi, the Seige of Ueda in 1600, and both the Summer and Winter Sieges of Osaka.
