The Kanno Disturbance (観応擾乱, Kanno Joran) was a political war caused by internal conflicts within the Ashikaga Shogunate during the Nanboku-cho period commencing with hostilities on November 26, 1350 and ending on March 12, 1352 with the mysterious death of one of its major players. This war takes its name from the contemporary Imperial Kanno era.
