The Siege of Miki Castle began on this day, May 5, 1578.
From the spring of 1578 until January of 1580, Oda Nobunaga sent his troops to subjugate the Harima region around Kobe. Under Nobunaga’s orders, Toyotomi Hideyoshi had taken much of Harima with very little military action, relying on political maneuvering to claim the territory.
