Warlord Nakagawa Hidemasa was killed in battle on this day, November 27, 1592. …Or was he?

Nakagawa Hidemasa was a Sengoku period military commander and a warrior of fine pedigree. Born the son of the daimyo of Settsu Provice (modern-day Hyogo Prefecture) Nakagawa Kiyohide, he was the older brother of the daimyo Nakagawa Hidenari.  Hidemasa's wife, Tsuru, was the youngest of the seven daughters of Oda Nobunaga. His uncle was the famed samurai warrior and tea master, Furuta Oribe. He was a fine samurai, an exceptionally brave and talented leader.
