Ok the sword guy in me wants to know; wakizashi we’re not common in the late Heian/Early Kamakura so is this blade osuriage mumei? Do they really have no idea who made it? Has no one even guessed at the area it might have been made? Is there anywhere we can ask these questions?
The common thought is that it is possibly a Sukehira, Kanehira, Masatsune, Moritsune, or a Bunju. There were so many possibilities, I didn't include it in the article, and being a mumei, didn't want to harp on that aspect either. It is possible that someone at Atsuta Shrine has more information or has researched it better, but I couldn't find anything available On Line.
